The Bloch Cancer Survivors Park is located on the campus of the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.  The one-acre urban site is adjacent to three busy streets, and sits at the hub of the campus, connecting the medical care areas, including the oncology unit and Cancer Center. The plant palette was sensory in nature and simple plantings were proposed throughout the project.  The selected concept was designed to be fluid and inclusive of adjacent influences, emphasizing the roles that outside influences play in the cancer recovery process.  Since the park is located immediately next to hotels with 24-hour use, the park is designed to be completely dynamic at night.
