The HLA Group master planned this 252-acre regional park for the City of Sacramento as an adaptive reuse of a former gravel mine. Six years of public input and consensus building helped to create a public/private partnership between local private developers and the City which resulted in the first regional park to be built in Sacramento in 72 years. The master plan includes, within a Class-A office park, three soccer and rugby fields with grandstands; a 3,500 seat amphitheater; a baseball/softball complex; tennis, basketball and volleyball venues; a community center; dog park; group picnic facilities and concessions; a skatepark; and a roller hockey rink.
