This 13.7-acre park represents the centerpiece of the Sterling Meadows master planned community and presented a unique opportunity to The HLA Group. Through thoughtful collaboration with the client and Cosumnes Community Services District, The HLA Group developed a distinctive park theme centered on music. This theme frames the design and provides inspiration for the park. Circulation paths emulate the shape of a treble clef, play equipment features a musical motif, musical instruments spray water in the interactive splash pad, and a piano scale (outfitted with piano key benches and lettered note inlays) spans the main promenade. Other amenities at the park include a performance amphitheater, central group picnic area, basketball court, skate park, tennis courts, restroom building, on-site parking, soccer field, and infiltration bioswales.
