Cannery Place is a 5-story, 180-unit mixed-use housing project within the "Township 9" master planned community in Sacramento. Improvements include landscaped roof decks, children’s playground, outdoor community and gathering spaces, and ground-level public park with urban plaza. The plaza features a large public green with perimeter seating and shade trees that serves the adjacent retail/commercial uses but also accommodates public events, gatherings, and programming. Brick, concrete and steel materials that were used in the historical cannery previously occupying the site are employed throughout the plaza design and emphasize the “industrial chic” design aesthetic.
