The Sacramento Greyhound Bus Terminal resides on three acres of land located in the River District of Sacramento. The 10,000 square foot terminal includes six bus bays, controlled passenger waiting areas, and a full service restaurant. As a self-certified LEED Silver project, the terminal and landscape are highly efficient, combining form and function. Planting areas incorporate low water-use, easily maintainable and regionally appropriate plant material. Vegetated bioretention areas capture and filter runoff from parking lots. Public art is prominently displayed, and The HLA Group worked closely with the Sacramento Metropolitan Art Commission and local artists to integrate three freestanding art installations into the landscape.
